Building the Jabuntu Platform: Connected Business Apps for Nigeria
Most businesses end up juggling separate tools that do not talk to each other: one for invoicing, another for stock, another for staff. Jabuntu is our answer to that. It is a platform of connected business apps, built in the open and growing app by app. Here is where it stands and where it is going.
One platform, many apps
Jabuntu is not a single program. It is a family of apps that share one login, one billing account and one set of records. You can start with the app you need today and switch others on as you grow.
The point is to stop re-entering the same customer, product and invoice data in different systems. In Jabuntu, that data is shared, so the sale you ring up, the invoice you issue and the stock you count stay in step.
The apps in the family
Each app covers a specific part of running a business, and each is at its own stage of development:
- Jabuntu ERP: invoices, quotes, customers, products, reports and team controls.
- Jabuntu POS: fast checkout, stock movement, receipts, refunds and branch reporting, with offline support.
- Jabuntu People: employees, roles, leave and workforce records.
- Jabuntu 360: interactive employee training and courses, with SCORM export and optional AI presenter video.
- igat-U: mobile-first catalogue, stock, orders and storefront for small merchants.
- Jabuntu e-Invoicing: validated invoices, IRN and QR codes through the NRS system, pending accreditation.
Built for Nigerian and African conditions
The platform is designed around real operating conditions: intermittent connectivity, multiple branches, evolving compliance and tight cost control. Offline-capable point of sale and resilient sync are not afterthoughts; they are built in because they are needed.
E-invoicing is a first-class part of the plan. As the NRS mandate reaches more businesses, Jabuntu is being built so that issuing a compliant, validated invoice is part of the normal flow, not a separate chore.
Work in progress, and honest about it
We would rather tell you plainly that the platform is a work in progress than overstate it. Several apps are in active development, and the e-invoicing integration depends on completing NRS accreditation before regulated features go live.
If any of these apps fits a problem you have now, the best next step is a conversation about what is ready today and what is on the way.
